yield: 4 servings -2 pds. lean ground beef
-¼ pd. fresh mozzarella, diced ½ in. cubes
-¼ cup bread crumb
-¼ cup water
-2 tsp. fennel seed
-2 tsp. garlic powder
-2 tsp. salt
-1 tsp. dried oregano
-1 tsp. dried basil
-1 tsp. onion powder
-1 tsp. black pepper
-olive oil
-pizza sauce
-2 slices ea. fresh mozzarella
Pre-heat grill to med.-med. high, mix well all ingredients, divide into 4 equal portions and form into patties, rub w/ a little olive oil and season to taste w/ salt and pepper, grill each side about 5 min. for med. rare, 6-7 min. for med., about 9 min. for well done. Take off grill let rest about 5 min.
This burger goes well on grilled focaccia bread or inside a grilled pita pocket. Top w/ favorite pizza sauce, sliced fresh mozzarella and/or any of your favorite pizza toppings.
